From the inside out. by joansmor

From the inside out.

Another picture from yesterday as today all were birds again. When I told @vignouse that I had pictures of a covered bridge he was very interested. He didn't know I lived near any. I told him I would post one of my pictures though I don't suppose this is what he had in mind but I found this view fascinating. Hope you do too.
You don't know me as well as you think you do because I like this view very much - it's the PoV I would have chosen myself. That said, I would have preferred the woman on the right to have either been out of the image completely, or further into it. I have no idea how these covered bridges came about, so I must away and consult my friend Mr. Google. Nice one Joan.

@vignouse "The woman on the right" is my nephew who walked into my shot as I snapped. See him carrying my tripod bag. That is a fur hat on his head.

@joansmor Oh, dear! Well my apologies to Mike... and you need to train your assistants better ;-)

I love covered bridges even before I got into photography. I know Ohio has many covered bridges. I've done a few of them. I too like your perspective!

@vignouse You're right he did it to me a couple of times. LOL

What a neat bridge Joan!
Do cars use it or is only for pedestrians?

Love covered bridges. I was obsessed with them when we were in NH.

A stunning capture. Fav

@radiogirl Only pedestrians. I had to walk a narrow snow path to get to it.

I love the line of light and shadow.

Love the lines shapes and light

fascinating how much light there is on the roof of the bridge from underneath. My main sensation of covered bridges is often how dark they are inside. Perhaps all that snow you've got is giving you some extra light.

Fabulous lines and light. Great shot.

Had I known you had this in mind, I would have taken one as well. I finally spied a covered bridge. I was too cold to want to get out of the car. This perspective is wonderful, and I will certainly keep it in mind if I run across another one.

Excellent find and wonderful pov....Great lines and angles this is a very interesting shot....I also love the shadow....

Nice shot- I think covered bridges are pretty no matter what pov you shoot them from!

Great lines -- I love your emphasis on structure here.

The pov is awesome and I love the light and view at the end. I also like how the light comes in from the sides and the top. What a great one to walk across. Pretty with all the snow.

What beautiful find. I like how you worked on the perspective and lines playing with bridge. It comes to my mind a yellow school bus crossing the bridge :)

@jborrases Not used for vehicles any more. In a hiking spot. The park on the far side, cross the bridge and hike or in this time of year cross country ski.

Fabulous shot - not seen any covered bridges since I used to work out in Canada as a Tour Guide. We used to visit one near St Jacobs in Ontario.
