Perfection isn't everything

This is probably the worse photo I have put up lately but see that little blue bird. The first I have seen since I was a child. Just didn't have my long lens on the camera. I thought this was a little figurine until it moved and then flew off. So this is for me and remember the joy I felt at seeing it.
I haven't seen many blue birds in my lifetime. This is a nice shot even if you didn't have your long lens.

For most of the millions of people who take photographs, it's about capturing a memory, a fragment of the past and freezing it for ever... this photo does that perfectly for you. It's only us photo nuts who worry about anything else!

Joan, it's lovely! Interestingly enough, it looks like a little ghost bluebird on top of the Head stone.

I would have taken the shot too- for the memory. It's exciting to see Bluebirds- they're not that common.

@vignouse Sadly this is the kind of picture that two years from now I look at things and say what is this about. So I thought I would enjoy it the most by posting it and thus looking at it for a day or two and enjoying that wonderful moment. Does that make sense?

I agree with @vignouse if it brings you joy then it is the perfect shot.

Why not remember the memories while we can.

Wonderful memory and image!

Fabulous! Regardless of the clarity -- it brought back good memories!

Interesting though that when I looked at this, I thought you were dipping into conceptual art. I like it on that level as well as for the bluebird moment capture.

My mom's name is Gladys. Go figure. I've never seen a real blue bird outside. You were so lucky.

Love the bird

Even without the bird I like tombstones. Gladys lived a long time without her husband.

I can fully understand the great feeling you get when you see a bird that is so "rare" to see! Because you have captured it, you now won't forget the excitement you felt! Well done :)

Good for you....what a sweet little bird and so glad you shared it with us. Interesting headstone

sometimes it is about the subject rather than the technical aspects of the photo, and photography is all about expressing ourselves, which you did, very nice
