Okay I am about to bore you with a bunch of bird pictures I took when my sister and I stopped in at Merritt Island in Florida. It was not a season for lots of migratory birds but I still went crazy much to the annoyance of my sister. It's just a great blue you have those in Maine.
This is I believe a tri-colored heron. My sister kept mutter black legs, yellow feet or yellow legs black feet. She says you need to know this to identify many very similar species. BUt sis I am not a birder - I am a photographer who likes to capture birds sometimes.
So if you are like my sister and need to know exactly what the bird is you might want to skip my project for the Throwback Thursdays. Other wise I hope you will appreciate my bird photographers as what I intend - trying to capture something new for my project and not messing it up too badly.
Had to fav -- bird shot doesn't really convey what this is -- great posture/motion, and details are wonderful. The background sets off the bird perfectly.
