When I was a child the cottages at the beaches were summer cottages many handed down from generation to generation. But now they are often year round homes (not sure which this is) and way too many are owned by wealthy out of staters. But nne the less many are beautiful and fit nicely into thr environment. Just wanted to show you one up close.
It's crazy how real estate changes through the years. Back when the cottages were small and generational, a summer at the beach was something much more simplistic too- now it's a very posh vacation! This home is very pretty though. I do hope it gets used more than twice a year! Good shot.
This brings back many memories of my friend's grandmother who owned one that looks quite like this with the big wrap around porch - two stories - right on the beach looking onto the Atlantic Ocean off the north shore of Long Island. I use to love going there and can still picture everything about it nearly 70 years later. Thanks for the memory trip.
