I was doing breakfast with my gf so I left early to fill up my LR catalog with possible posts for the next week. I tend to go on a photo ride and then gather lots of pictures and share them one day at a time. It started when I left for work at 7:45 and got home at 7:15. Long day and trying to take a picture every day was so tiring. This trip I was trying to See the Light for Flash Of Red and texture for the same. It was a chilly morning (temperatures went up and down on my drive low -11F to high 2F) sunny morning. But when I got to the Bridge over the Saco I had hoped to get a picture of the frozen waters over the falls but what I got was some very thick mist. Liked the moody look. Kind of scary almost. But you can see the light - right.
Used this photo for my inspiration for my get-pushed http://365project.org/joansmor/365/2014-01-07
I often do the same Joan...when I am out and about or go on day trips I have a list in my phone of the challenges to remind me to look for ideas and have photos ready when work is busy....I haven't fussed about getting a photo on every day for a few years now...
This is a very atmospheric image...what is the fhostly face I can see in the mist?
First thing I saw was that ghostly face, started up another device to check if the face was in the photo or in my mind lol. Great and little bit creepy mood.
That face is something else, it almost looks man made. A great find and capture. I usually also take most of my photos on one afternoon when I go for a ride.
At first I kept looking for the building that the face had to be on- you really did a great job merging the two pictures! This picture has such a spooky mood- it makes you keep looking!
Joan, I noticed you are wanting to do more documentary style captures this year. For your get pushed challenge how about trying a long exposure self portrait capture? I have carried myself folding laundry and cooking dinner. If this doesn't work, I will be glad to issue a different challenge.
That really is so cool - you are so creative to stick that face in a spot that is not too obvious!
Had to look twice before it jumped out at me!
Well done and A FAV!
Joan, sincere apology for somehow not seeing the notification from your tagging me here. I think you’ve done a good job capturing the moodiness of the original foggy picture. Again, sorry for the very late comment.
