What should I keep by joansmor

What should I keep

I seldom were jewelry so I want to get rid of most of mine. I will keep the real pearls and get rid of the rest. Laid them out and used my new lights to dimly light the surface. Liked this edit in Silver efex.
Hope this counts as black and white - used Pic Monkey to change to bw
..not really

I love pearls. They would be hard to part with.

I too love pearls, I suggest you keep them all! Lovely shot.

The first thing I put on after dressing every single day of my life are my pearls. I have everyday ones & best ones. Fat ones, small ones & expensive ones but I love them all so I would say keep all the pearls! They never date & are kind to older complexions!

Very creative - beautifully done. Good luck on your decision making:)

very pretty - it would be hard for me to say goodbye to those pearls

Nicely done Joan and good luck on decision

Difficult decision nicely presented

I am starting to get rid of most of my costume jewelry too- but keeping a few for 365 photos! I have too many nice things and don't wear it any more. I think it works for black and white just fine!

Nice still still life and presentation

@olivetreeann
Am in the throes of finessing my jewelry too. Easier said than done. After the first round or two, needs must pause and recognise that wearing what I like the most, will naturally decide what I can pass on with impunity. Great theory...ready, steady....do it! Aaargh!

@happypat I am trying to pare down all my belongings to fit on one floor of my house - winter things - summer things. So things I don't wear have to make the cut and if my niece or grand nieces would like them then it would please me to no end. I passed along my super big Iron Clad fry pans and my mothers dishes. If I can give them were they are loved seems a good deal.

Superb focus on those pretty beads.

@olivetreeann I posted it as sepia and then in Pic Monkey made it a little more black and white is sepia thought okay for Flash of Red.

@s4sayer I am on the slow track of paring down everything so I can have it all on one floor for my safety. Only storing a few things on other floors that I hope my niece will help me with if I want them. Using the theory if you haven't needed it in 6 months you can live without it (unless it has sentimental meaning).

There are all lovely - hard decision!

Wonderful patterns and textures!

They look great - don't throw out any treasures :)

Love the textures - and a great choice for b&w

Nicely set up and photo. My reasoning is usually is keep them all, because they don't take up much room really...
February 6th, 2019
That's a nice collection Joan. I too am trying to declutter and get rid of things I don't want or use. Good choice for texture.

@joannakate But my jewelry boxes do. Want to get down to one I have three.
February 6th, 2019
A beautiful image Joan...they don't take up much space...keep them...unless you have someone special you could share them with
February 6th, 2019
@annied I have three boxes of jewelry and hope to get to one and will offer the ones I am getting rid of to my niece. She would inherit anyway.

I have a wonderfully, flamboyant friend who would wear nearly all of these at the same time and make them look amazing. I'm generally a one strand at a time girl :)
