Double Beach Cottage by joansmor

Double Beach Cottage

I had to post this from my ride to the coast. These cottages are not on the beach but across the road. However, the dirt you see in the driveway is from the ocean coming across the road and onto the property. There are cottages on the beach side. I saw a lot of destruction driving along the coast.
Nice black and white shot.

Sad. We have had coastal flooding too but not any real damage. It did start raining in my living room so a roof is in my future.
Anyway, this is lovely in black and white.

Beautiful place!

My desire to live anywhere close to water has been significantly tempered by climate change. Great shot of this double-barreled getaway.

What a shame that such beautiful places are being lost due to climate change.

Fabulous b&w image.

Huge homes… tiny garages… too bad about the damage on the coast.

Great sky

Beautiful capture.

I've always thought it would be a dream come true to live by the ocean but in some cases it might be more of a nightmare! I do love the look of the cottages and all the added drama in the sky!!

Nice crisp detail and love those clouds

great pov

A fabulous capture of these beautiful homes. I always wanted to live on the coast, but that sure has changed over the last years.

Awesome with the clouds

What a dream to leave by the sea - great pov

Super capture of these beach cottages and a wonderful sky !

A good spot and nice shot.

Across the road looks like a safer option ! Great shot too.

Interesting in b&w. Great shot.

nice one :)

Looks great in B&W!

Beautiful shot.

Yikes! Being across the road likely saved them from damage.

A lovely shot, with a nice cloudscape. I don't think I would want property this close to the sea. It might be wonderful in summer and on calm days, but it must be terrifying during storms.

Wow - that sure shows the strength of those storms you've been having

Bwautiful homes across from the water, do hope no more damage .

I love the way the lines bring us into the house.

Oh dear, perhaps they are too close to the beach. We have a lot of destruction on our East coast here in the UK, with houses falling into the sea from their cliff top position. I love the style of the houses

Super sky and such a shame about the damage, does it usually happen ?

@craftymeg Only in the last few years as water levels are rising.

Love it in black-and-white!

Love the light, pov, symmetry

Beautifully captured. It s rather scary nowadays to live so close to an ocean.

Great capture! So many storms in the northern hemisphere at the moment!

I would only want to visit in one of these- too many hurricanes and storms to repair from keeps me from wanting to own one. But I'm sure they have a beautiful view!

Nice pov and clouds. These cottages look like they survived the storms.

So nicely shown

One of the disadvantages of living too close to the beach. We only live 400 metres from a beach but it is uphill so we should be safe when the waters rise.

Lovely symmetry.

Wonderful shot👌❤️
