Morning light. by joansmor

Morning light.

The Nubble from the parking lot.
The eye-catching things in this shot are the redhead and the Nubble... I would have liked that this photo targeted those points of interest. Just my early morning ( or rather, late night) personal observation.

Oh, gorgeous shot! I wish I had time to go back to see this lighthouse now that's it's warmer than 9 degrees. I think both times I was there, it felt like 0 out! We were in NYC week before last. My daughter wanted to eat at Red Lobster for her birthday. It was decorated with shots of Maine. My daughter was very excited to see giant paintings of Nubble and Portland Headlight . I looked, there aren't any Red Lobster restaurants in Maine!

Wonderful capture! I love the perspective from the parking lot!

@vignouse When I was shooting this I couldn't figure out why I was getting these blue pictures so mostly I was just shooting and adjusting. After we left here I just did the two button reset. And the sun fully came out. SO I had a lack of focus on my pictures you might say.

@kwind I could probably feel a month of pictures on this place and that is only my digital period. You will see it again.

@bellasmom See my explanation to Richard. But you almost can't get a bad picture of the Nubble.

@joansmor Ah, I thought it was just me that forgot to reset the camera after use. My pet hate is when I forget to wipe the memory card and I have dozens (or hundreds!) of unwanted pics on the card as well as the few wanted ones! This scene is very photogenic but I can see that it would not be easy to get a good PoV... a good excuse to keep going back!

@bellasmom Thanks for the fav, totally unexpected.

@vignouse Oh I will and with various times of day and kinds of weather. This is what 365 is doing for me. Getting me out of the house.

Fabulous, fav for me too!

@lynnilou It is a fabulous place, but my favorite lighthouse is Pemaquid.

@lynnilou Oh, yes and thank you for the fav.

Fabulous lighthouse shot and really like that you included the person on the bench.

@eyesmile I love taking pictures of lighthouses.

love the grey glitter of the water ... nubble still looks like a toy!

I have certainly seen a lot of gift statues that look like this picture of the island.

@joansmor No explanation needed:) I loved it just as it is! I have always loved shots that include any surrounding area. I hate scrapbooking for that reason; I can not bring myself to cut my photos! I like all the extra scenery I guess:)

@bellasmom When you do digital scrapping as I do you don't have to cut your photos and you can keep the original picture. Some of my favorite pages use only one picture at full size.
