Beautiful blue sky rainbow2023 march23words

This is an old tree outside the front of our place. The bottom left insert shows a yellow cross which has been sprayed on the tree trunk. This unfortunately means that the local council has marked the poor tree for the chop. It’s coming down! It has been deemed too dangerous for the community.

Exquisite sky but sorry about the tree. We had one in our garden that was over 100' tall and became unwell and therefore unstable. We had to have it taken down. But on the plus side, we kept it, chopped it up and seasoned the wood over a few years in a newly built woodstore and have been burning it to keep warm this Winter while we couldn't afford to have the heating on!
Nice bit of topiary there too.

Interesting gardening - cone shaped shrubs. The tree has seen better days judging by the bare branches, but always hate to see a tree cut down.

It’s a shame but the tree probably has to go. Or my neighbour’s car. Or my house.
