This is on the outskirts of Seligman Arizona- the home of historic route 66. The name/title comes from Angel Dalagadillo who fought hard for the route to be given the historic designation after Interstate 40 bypassed the town in 1980's. This town is rather 'kitchy' but a fun place to visit and have a great chocolate milkshake.
My husband came up with the title for this.
Nice shot and interesting picture. Looks like the "things faster" part of the sign was added at a different time to the rest of the sign and that makes me wonder what it said before.. Also, do you know what the small little shed is just behind the tractor? It says closed?
@stephanies Its an 'out house' so I'm glad it was closed. It was a fun morning on the old route 66, no big trucks and about 10 cars- very peaceful. @dorsethelen This town is funky and strange- still hanging on thanks to Angel and his brother and of course the tour buses.
@ukandie1 Thank you, Got out of town again and drove Historic Rt66 - the peace and solitude that can be found off the interstate offset by the weird things.
