I decided to make June a month of lensbaby shots and in black and white. I feel the best method to learn about this lens is to do and use. So I am off to the races, so to speak.
I'm not familiar with LensBaby so I looked it up online. I like the idea you will be doing your pictures in B&W since everything I saw was in color. Looking forward to seeing more. :>) I do like the blurry effect of your subject. Nicely done.
@jeffinvt This was a reflection shot, looking into a brewery window at Rt 66 and traffic. I need to take notes along this journey so I can replicate-hopefully. @paulavdmerwe Thank you very much. I like how I have to think and calculate with this lens. @ziggy77 I need to get back into B&W and do it manually so this is going to be a fun and maybe a bit of a frustrating month. @megpicatilly Thank you, I heard about this lens long before I went digital but couldn't afford one then. Seeing all the lovely shots by Clare Gadsby with her lensbaby, I finally got one. This is a blast, highly recommend getting one. @nydelignorsk Thank you, I also just downloaded the Nik Collection from Google so I now have two learning curves. This lens is a blast. @cjphoto Thanks, I like how you dedicate a month to a color or subject and figured that would be a good way to learn- just do and play around with the lens. @andywallis Thanks, now that I have decided to 'do' B&W and use only my lensbaby for the month I am really looking forward to things. I think that I need to stay focused more. Could be a challenge for me, though.
Haha yeah it helps a lot! One of the first times I did that was in my 2nd year when I did a month shooting with my 50mm lens. I learned so much that month! I wish you success in doing the same :)
@paulmann I kinda agree but I need to play and learn with this lens. @sketch2 Thank you, so far so good. @cjphoto Shoot, shoot, shoot. That's what my Dad used to say, two or three rolls of film to get one shot you like. I am glad that I have digital -less chemicals. @izzyromilly This is a window reflection shot- the traffic on Route 66 in Flagstaff.
