Nice capture and really good choice for this challenge. The land does look very artistic with all the lines and holes in the rocks and the shapes that run through this picture, fav. Lovely texture in the sky too.

@domenicododaro Thank you so much, I shot this in IR on a cloudy day. I like the way the clouds and texture seem to pop with processing -this one is in the Palladium print Q for this weekend.

@jeffinvt Originally shot in IR but I ended up in Silver Efex. The IR seems to give great textures to work with.

@brett101 I needed to get out before the snow which comes tomorrow- up 24 inches but they haven't called Sunday yet- oh boy oh boy! The Wupatki Ruins are one of my favorites in this area.

@jack4john Thank you very kindly for the fav. When I go here I almost always find my moment of Zen, total silence. I cherish peace and nothingness.

@stephanies Thank you every so much for the fav. This national monument is north of here and so very peaceful. There wasn't any snow there either, a nice change from Flagstaff.

@lsquared I am very grateful for the fav, thank you. The ruins have so much to see and they are in the middle of almost no-where. You are allowed to walk on them which is rather unique.

@nanderson Thank you so very much for the fav. I love spending time at this monument, part is in snow and this part where the ruins are is much drier.

@kwind Thank you very much, The ruins are about 800+ years old. Amazing they are still standing and I'm glad that I didn't have to live like they did.

VML the sepia tones adding strength and depth to these old ruins.

It looks the most peaceful place and the little stone path leading to the stone is perfect!

@annied Thank you so much, the high desert is a unique place.
@la_photographic Thank you very much.
@bill_fe This was originally an infrared image. I played and played with it. I am learning and having fun with IR.
@s4sayer The IR seems to capture so many things that I can't with standard color and sepia just really fit best. It was a cloudy day so I do feel lucky I got anything decent.
@megpicatilly The park service allows visitors to walk on and through this ruin which really gives a closer appreciation how they might have lived.
@jerome Thank you so very much for the fav. Being an IR image, shot on a cloudy day I feel lucky and amazed that this came out.
@pickerandagrinner Thank you so very very much. Seeing this area in winter is so differernt than summer- no one else there and so peaceful.
