I had heard about these beasties recently, just spotted one today. They are a robot delivery system at NAU (Northern Arizona University) which is currently learning the layout of the campus. SOOCP(straight out of cell phone)
A bust on the moonset shot, Bad weather and bed gravity!
@jernst1779 I wonder about these things when the students come back in full force. I can see the headline, 'package beastie taken out by bicyclist' -:) -:) @joemuli Gotta love cell phones for so many things. @henrir I think that the biggest problem is going to be dodging the humans who text while walking, knowing that they will never run into anything. @haskar Totally agree. I would have to give them a name so when I saw it, I could 'greet' it. @alannascanlon Spot on, I am so last century at heart. @gardenfolk Remote control politicians? @blueberry1222 I am not so sure about these things, wonder what their cold weather gear is going to look like? I'd like to see them with chains on when its icy. @robz They are kinda cute but I am weary of them. @golftragic My son told me about them and he says that he almost ran into one, I guess they are rather stealthy. @shannejw I was frantically trying to snap my shot before the traffic light turned. It was just being a good little drone/robot and waiting its turn. @fbailey Maybe it can learn to defend itself, karate or something :):):).
You got bed gravity? Me too.. it's really got me in its grip! I look forward to driving my car at one of these things! Just because we can make them doesn't mean we should!
@yrhenwr Bed gravity is a common issue here, I blame it on the 7000 feet elevation. The students just being super lazy if they need to have the dinning hall deliver their carbs and sugar to them.
@golftragic They may be cute but a hazard in my opinion. I can see a file bot in an office but on campus, really?????
