Welcome clouds by joysabin

Welcome clouds

The clouds last evening were just truly amazing. We are sorta promised snow today but we got rain last evening instead. Even the few drops we got were very welcome. There was also a tiny bit of snow on roofs and in the shade this morning.

These were some of the storm clouds at sunset. I just grabbed the 1st camera I could find, my infra-red and tried to capture them before the sun went down.
Even with the altered IR coloring the clouds are beautiful- like snow-capped mountains themselves.

Thank you all so much. We've had such a dry season, I think this was the first rain since early August.

Thank you all so very much, very grateful. This is the first time that I tried IR at sunset. I need to work on my exposure as edits were a bit frustrating but, shoot and learn😉

@kvphoto Thank you a great deal. IR can really make clouds pop although, one does loose the pastel colors but, where would we be without trade-offs.
