Ooooohhhhh . . . .

Taffy and I were walking around in NYC, a two-hour stopover before heading home. We happened on this and we both simultaneously said, "oooooohhhhh" and swung our cameras out to snap this whatever-it-is from various angles (I like the little black thing beside it as well. ) I think it's a fire hydrant of some sort. What do you think?
