Cemetery Gate Post

In 1876 a group of Mormons answered Brigham Young’s call to colonize the Arizona Territory. Sunset Fort was built on land that is now part of Homolovi State Park. Sunset cemetery remains but the buildings from the fort were washed away by the Little Colorado River after the colony was abandoned.

I echo the above comments. The barbed wire makes it feel inhospitable.
