“Be tough in the way a blade of grass is: rooted, willing to lean, and at peace with what is around it."
--Natalie Goldberg -- I spotted this grass yesterday... it is about 3' tall, growing by the road (Acworth, Georgia, USA), and has tiny, magenta strands hanging from the middle section of the blade. It is likely a weed of some sort.
love the saying and the capture. You are so right , with camera in hand you notice so much more and after awhile your camera doesn't even need to be hand your mind is trained to be looking. At least for me that's what happened.
@lesip thanks so much for taking the time to comment... you are so right about the mind always looking to see... always aware of the changes in weather, light, always searching out interesting details.
@casablanca it was strange to me that they only seemed to be appearing in the middle of the stalk of grass... midway between the ground and top of the blade... they do look a little like caterpillars... thanks for the comment!
@taffy the magenta color is so surprising here... it does look sort of like an insect... I tried to research and find out what this was and had no luck.
@fayefaye thanks so much for your kind words... most appreciated!
@thewatersphotos I will try to take another look in a few days... if I remember!
@bubblequeen thanks... so glad you liked it:)
