Monarch Butterfly by kvphoto

Monarch Butterfly

According to the National Wildlife Federation: Although monarchs only live a few weeks the migratory generation that hatches in late summer can live up to eight months. Monarchs have an internal compass that directs migration. They can travel hundreds or thousands of miles. Monarchs from Georgia spend winters in Mexico.
