Here is the parish church of St. Mary's, Almondsbury, just north of Bristol. I had just completed a geocache here and was therefore using my older camera which I carry in my rucksack..
The church and tower was built in around 1140 with the lead covered spire added in 1619. The tower is today bent and twisted as the wood has dried out over the years. Note the unusual stone material and the patterns made by the lead on the spire.

I love old churches...so much character in them. Such a beautiful picture. Had to Google geocache to find out just exactly you had been doing. Really getting an education on this website!
@daisyjuds Of course not, looking forward to seeing your church. Have a look at my moon capture, it was so difficult to get central, 20 shots later I got it.
@ladymagpie, Thanks Heather. See my comment at your moon photo (another stunning shot). I also take more than one shot and can imagine that's difficult to get the perfect photo of the moon. I can't do it.
