Cloister's Garden of Gloucester Cathedral. by ladymagpie

Cloister's Garden of Gloucester Cathedral.

If you ever visit the city of Gloucester in the UK there is one place you must visit, that is the vast Gloucester Cathedral. This picture was taken in the center of the cloister gardens, a very tranquil place with buildings on all four sides.

The cloisters were built between 1364 and 1381 and have many important building going off them. This includes the lavatoriums, or the monks washing place. The cloisters itself was used in the Harry Potter films, I'm sure you would have seen those.

There is one British King buried in the cathedral and that is King Edward 11 who was murder at nearby Berkeley Castle in 1327. I would recommend look up images of Gloucester Cathedral Cloisters.
