So what's on tele today then boys.

I was sat outside on my patio last night having a quiet moment to myself when I heard a commotion going on above me. I had to find out what was happening when I spotted these 6 starlings sitting on my neighbours TV Arial.

I then spotted what was annoying them, high above the starlings was a hawk, of some sort, soaring in circles to gain height, these birds were not going to risk taking to the wing and were keeping a careful eye on it.

All I could think of was the film by Alfred Hitchcock called "The Birds". Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the hawk on camera, this time.

Love the detail in the starlings and enhanced by the deep blue sky. Fav

Quite an interesting composition. Aren't starlings supposed to be the fastest flying birds?

Very cool capture, Heather. Between the 6 of them, they were certainly keeping watch in all directions, weren't they!

@congaree Thanks John, I think Swifts are the fastest, hence they are called swifts.

It is so nice of you to put that bird perch up for the birds! If you were smart you could use it as a tv antenna! Lovely shot Heather!

@gmost Fortunately Glenn it was my neighbours TV Ariel, I'm more modern and have a dish. They were out but I bet their picture might have moved. Thanks Glenn.
