Beautiful Berries but very Poisonous by ladymagpie

Beautiful Berries but very Poisonous

These are the berries of cuckoo pint (Lords and Ladies). A common plant growing at ground level in hedgerows, in this case under my neighbour's bushes.

As a child we were soon taught that this is a very poisonous plant and to definitely keep away from. It's OK as we are older and wiser today with the plant at camera's length away.

I agree they always looked so tempting as a child. Great capture.
