Spiders and Conker Trees a Connection. by ladymagpie

Spiders and Conker Trees a Connection.

Everyone around here is going on about spiders at the moment and the fact that this Autumn they have started to come indoors in there droves.

Now, your probably wondering what this has to do with this tree. In fact it's a mighty Horse Chestnut tree stood in the corner of a village churchyard. The connection is that it's said the nut (or conker as we call them) can be put in the corners of your rooms and this sends the spiders away.

It sounds like an old wife's tale, but I have been assured it works - so it's out for another conker hunt.

The texture and color in the tree are gorgeous against the blue sky! And I'm always happy to hear of any remedy to keep the spiders outside, far from me (or behind glass, where I can safely capture them)
