Many of the Cotswold villages have their own drinking fountains, but this one in the village of Cherrington incorporated and animal trough as well.
It was made in 1875 with a single block of limestone and was presented to the village by a Elizabeth Mary George who lived in Cherrington Park. Water was fed from a spring in the nearby farm.

This is so beautiful, love the textures and patterns. A fav. I have a pretty large collection by David Winters on the Cotswold Villages. So, it was pretty thrilling to see this. :-)
@zenna Thank you Gayanne, The Cotswolds are so beautiful and I love every moment I get out and about here, problem is I'm getting older and it's not easy these days.
