The Mill Waterfall

The weather here in the UK is horrendous with torrential rain falling for the past few days, so here is one I took a couple of days ago.

At one time the river went from left to right until it was diverted here over a man made waterfall . When the mill wanted to turn the waterwheel the gates that were built above the waterfall were shut and the river force on to the right and down onto the waterwheel.

Sorry if that sounded to technical, the weir gates have now been removed and the river constantly flows over this beautiful waterfall.
