With the weather still atrocious I managed to find a bit of blue sky this morning to grab a photograph. But at midday when I decided it was safe to go out and take some more pictures, the heavens opened and I ended up spending money in the supermarket instead.
This is the view from my back courtyard and as you can see the hill towards the front of my home is very steep. Your'll notice the ridges running along the hillside which are made by the cattle that roam the common land in Summer, I'm positive they have legs longer on one side of their bodies, but this makes it impossible for them to turn around without rolling down the hillside.

This is another beautiful view that you have. I cannot believe with the steepness of the hillside that you don't get a lot of the runoff when it rains as it has been in your part of the world. Thanks for the explanation about the ridges on the hillside. I agree the shadows really add to the capture!
@barbarajdonnellan@featherstone Thank you ladies, I love where I live and the views from my garden. As for the cattle, they do walk around those ridges but perhaps i fibbed about them rolling down the hill.
