I was finally able to escape my home yesterday and dust off my camera. It was up to a local view point and although there wasn't any rain, I had to hang on to the lone tree that stands on the tip of the hill.
This is right on the edge of The Cotswold hills looking south where you can see Cam Long Down which was a subject of one of my pictures the other day. Plenty of bracken on the steep slopes were only the sheep can live. Thankfully my excess weight kept me firmly planted to the ground and I was pleased to get back to the sanctuary of my car.

This is lovely, Heather. Is the rusty brown on the hillside the bracken you mentioned? I love the light breaking through the clouds. Nicely seen and captured.
@kathiecb Thanks Kathie, bracken is a native British fern commonly found in woodland and heathland. It is tolerant of a wide range of soils and climates.
