I wanted to be a Trolley Dolly. by ladymagpie

I wanted to be a Trolley Dolly.

Looking back on my working life and due to family tradition I became a Mechanical Engineer. What I really wanted to be was a Trolley Dolley.

So what is a Trolley Dolley, think back to those days of luxury flying in the 50's and 60's with planes like the Comet and the Vickers Viscount. Then you have the beautiful air hostesses who were nicknamed trolley dollies as they move their trolleys up and down the aisles.

This is as close I could get at being a trolley Dolley today. Best viewed with the magnify button above the picture.
A great story and super pov. Fav

Thank you for the explaination of what a Trolly Dolly is. I had never heard the term before and was a bit confused as to why you wanted to be one since I was looking at a picture of shopping carts, lol!!

Well you made it, if in name only! Great repetition and lines. Like how your framing is color-coordinated.

Neat shot and story. Ever thought of a 2nd career. Haha

You make me laugh so much, great pov, how many curious looks did you get?
January 29th, 2014
@linnypinny @genealogygenie @kathiecb @claireuk Thank you for your comments and a couple of questions. Yes I put my signature there on purpose, 2nd career Kathie, I think they would need a very powerful plane to get me off the air. Claire, I did have a few looks and had to keep moving away to let people put there trolleys back.

Never heard the expression Trolley Dolly before...learned something new from you again TODAY! The lines leading the eye down the rows of the carts is very nice! And see you have placed your signature on one of the carts.
