The Gardener's Rest by ladymagpie

The Gardener's Rest

My friend's garden, which her husband has been clearing the undergrowth, has revealed several items discarded under bushes or the long grass.

This garden ornament shows a gardener at rest on a bench and although covered in algae is a lovely thing. One small thing, he had lost his head and it had to be cemented back on.

What a great find. We all lose our heads over our gardens sometimes, don't we? I like the green patina on the wall behind too.

Glad he never lost his marbles ;) He is lovely, but wondering how they could have lost him....

@khawbecker @lynnilou Thank you ladies, the previous owners of the house had left a very large garden grow wild and we don't think anything had been done for years, it's beginning to come back to life.

@virtualbrownie @philcameron59 @gerry Thanks to you all for your comments, I thin being hidden under a hedge for several years could have weathered it.
