Mini Oranges for the Birds

I found this bush growing around my neighbours front window and close-up they look like a pile of miniature oranges. They are in fact Firethorn Berries or Pyracantha which is a genus of thorny evergreen large shrub.

It's a good job I've got a good friend who can tell me all about all these plants or I would be lost. Must admit that taking all these photographs has made me more interested in the garden.

What vibrant colors, Heather. We had a huge pyracantha bush in New Orleans and I remember the huge amount of berries, like in this picture.
