I am back to my special place on the Stroudwater Canal, and a spot known as The Ocean. This was the place the barges use to tie up for the night on their journey from the Rivers Severn in the west to the River Thames in the east.
Today it's is completely overgrown and full of wildlife, including my famous Mr. & Mrs. Duckie. Look closely at the bottom of the picture and I'm stood exactly on a swans nest, I think I better move before Hissing Sid and Grumpy Gertie come back.
The lovely shades of green and fabulous textures make this a fav for me! And I will have to view it again when I get home to my computer. I'm viewing on my phone so I can only imagine how great it is on large!
A lovely scene altogether. Have you heard of the book, The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman? Your beautiful picture and caption brings it to mind.
