I've probable mention this before, but this is The Ocean the place I want to rest when the time comes. My Sister chose the hillside up to the Fort, but for me I want to be next to all the wildlife that this place has.
It includes swans, moorhens, ducks, coots, herons and not forgetting my little robin. As for animals I've seen water voles, badgers, foxes and hedgehogs.
Now don't think I'm being to morbid, I'm not, I'm just stating what I like wildlife and would like to be with them. Perhaps if they won't let my ashes sprinkle here, can I suggest a useful way I could help. If they bury me here with my backside sticking out of the soil, then cyclists would have somewhere to park their bikes whilst they enjoy the view. (I know, the mind boggles at the thought, wink)
I have tears in my eyes...from laughter! It's not morbid at all, we have our final resting places chosen, and are planning to have the headstone in place...without the final year, of course. It will seem strange to see my name on granite, of course. Our we could provide bicycle parking as well! So funny...just think of all the smiles you've provided today, to people all over the globe!
Ahahahaha I got a great belly laugh out of that one. I was reading along, enjoying the lovely, tranquil scene and nodding in agreement about what a lovely final resting it would be and then got to the last sentence! Fav for the lovely scene and the great verbal visual!
Still a while to wait, God willing, but wow, what a stunning final resting spot! Not morbid at all - we all have to face reality! You crack me up! ;) Oh,and its a fav!
LOL - I'm with Barbara...reading the lovely words, viewing the peaceful scene and then laughing out loud at the last paragraph! And, no, it's not morbid at all to me - I have my footstone with a open Bible etched in it at our family cemetary. Yours is a lovely spot!
Giggling. I too want my ashes in the fresh country air up a hill. Can't bear the thought of being in a box in the ground. Wishing you many more years yet though!
