Bridge over Troubled Waters

It's been hot today and would you believe it, I was missing the Winter. I think I've told you before that I should have been a polar bear but my Mother got it wrong. Walked down to where the old canal has had to be rebuilt and rerouted as the previous course has been taken over by a main road around the town of Stroud.

The bridge and arches on the right carry the main railway line to London with the windows being an old mill from the 1800's. This is now a wonderful spot where the canal has been dug into the hillside on the right.

So the title is because the route of the canal water was a trouble and you have the railway bridge as well. This of course leads me into today's famous song 1969 song and one of my favourites.
