I'm not sure if you've heard this phrase, describing something as horrible as being a DOG'S DINNER, but that is what the weather is like here in SW UK for the past few days. I've been clawing at the windows to get out and about.
The only place that I have been to is this little store in the next village, opposite my flowery friend home. It's a mini-market, post office and general gossip place, I'm included in that last description and I keep the staff amused with my stupid jokes and puns.
It was bucketing down again but I needed to post an urgent parcel. I hope the poor dog tied up outside in the rain is waiting for it's owner to come out of the shop with another type of DOG'S DINNER. You might like to view this with the black background.
Thank you for all your comments and FAV's it hasn't been easy to find an interesting picture in this weather.
It must be a small village to have all these services in one building! These are great places to catch up with neighbours and friends and a reason to walk the dog to get it's dinner!
Don't mention weather. I keep seeing signs of autumn everywhere and I'm still waiting for summer!! I love these 'one shop does all' stores. I have a friend who has on in one of the villages and it's a great place to shop. Hope the dog got it's dinner. My collie waits outside the local shop every morning and all I come out with is the newspaper.
