I have no qualms in using this picture today as it's the second anniversary of my loving Sister Mo's passing. She was not only my big Sister but my closest friend and we were always together having fun.
Now you may be shocked by the wording on the picture so I better explain. As Mo was fighting her cancer she was often in hospital, and as is my way, I was always making her laugh and being mischievous. She was reading this magazine and I said I would take her photograph for her hobby friends, she didn't realise that I was positioning her fingers in a way to change the title, I couldn't help it.
She was a fanatical Scrapbooker and was always cutting sticking and making cards and pictures, It was unfortunate that the magazine was called Scrap 365 and has nothing to do with our 365 hobby. When I showed her the picture she was in hysterics for ages, and as always told me off.
I love her and miss her dearly. View her with the dark surround and note her wonderful smile she always had even through those terrible last years.
What a lovely idea and how lovely to have this to look back on. She does have a beautiful smile despite the terrible time she must have had. Fav Heather and I'm sure you do miss her but have some lovely memories too
Heather you are something else. I love the picture and the story around it. You two were very very blessed to have that relationship. I am the oldest of three and both my brothers left this world way to soon. One to Leukemia and the other to suicide. Your picture and story made me smile it took a long time to smile and remember the good times. God bless you and your family.
Oh Heather, this is a treasure of a shot of Mo. I'm so pleased to hear that you two got up to as much mischief as possible and you now have wonderful memories of your sister. It can never replace the real thing, but it must help in your grieving. I love her cheeky smile and I'm sure yours is just the same. We will always share our sadness in October. Fav for a beautiful sister and you today and always.
A great shot and a wonderful story. What a beautiful tribute to your sister. I lost my daughter nearly three years ago and I miss her every day.
I am sure your wonderful sense of humour helped your sister on her journey, you must miss her enormously.
It wasn't long after I started following you that you lost your sister. I remember a photo from Oct 2013 that you titled The Twilight Zone... that bush with the little lights that you and your sister took a photo of together that evening. I thought I had fav'ed it back then (but I did so today) This current capture is a wonderful tribute to the fun times you two had together. Thanks for sharing!
I am sure your wonderful sense of humour helped your sister on her journey, you must miss her enormously.
