The weather is terrible here in south west England and I've been stuck indoors for 2 days now, I'm clawing at the windows just to get outside. For that reason I have decided to reveal the result of the search for the for the black and red leaf that landed on the patio.
Well it's all your fault that it has taken quite a few days to find it's source, look for the tree you all said so I did just that. In fact it wasn't a tree at all but a creeper found on buildings and walls. It's called a Virginia Creeper and I found the location about a mile away on the wall of the local scout headquarters.
It starts off green, turns bright red during the season and goes black as it dies off in Autumn. So the great leaf hunt is over for another year, unless something lands on my patio again.
Thank you all for your comments and FAV.s, I really do appreciate them. View this one with the dark surround.
The leaves are so beautiful, I wonder if your weather was the same as ours wet miserable then later in the day the sky turn pink and it was so colourful if you have time Heather look at my pic
Love Virginia creeper it is such a stunning colour in the Autumn. Sun thing here at the moment. It chucked it down all morning. There is an ominous looking black cloud coming from your direction though!
