The weather is still not good for going out with the camera, so on my way home this morning I stopped off before the rain fell again.
This is a typical old farmyard from around the Cotswold Hills. The buildings date from the mid 1700's and has been used for animals ever since. The farmhouse is off the the left with further barns, I'm sad to say that the animals were in the fields on the lower slopes.
Lovely, once a busy farm and the magic is that this scene has not changed over the years. So much in this pic including the views over the valley, and even the top of a church tower.
It is interesting to have farms and their building that date back that far. We not this side of the water and the west side of the Mississippi don't got back that far, but some are as well persevered as a dry climate will allow. Next big trip is planned to look for those types of structures.
