If you live in my area of the Stroud Valleys you have to be prepared to walk up and down hills, that includes the main town's shopping streets where most of the independent shops are owned.
You have to be up early on a Sunday morning to find the High Street this empty as nothing is open yet. My favourite shop is the nearest on the right which has retained the old windows for hundreds of years. Why do I like it, well it's now an antique shop and the owner knows me.
Year's gone by this was a main road up onto the hill ad beyond but it was transformed into a pedestrians only area but the surface has caused controversy, as the complaints include you try walking on the brickwork with high heels or be disabled in wheelchairs.

Lovely. What is the name of the antique shop that you so love? My eyes and brain are not making a name out of it. I would think it is a person's name, maybe?
