Losing Stones. by ladymagpie

Losing Stones.

I wish I had time to stop and replace the stones on the wall nearest, it looks a bit untidy for an important mile post. This was taken along the towpath of my local canal and is a mile stone that dates from 1779, unfortunately the metal plate has gone missing.

The title is also a reference to my up's and down's of losing weight. Just before I retired I lost 6 1/2 stone but unfortunately a lot has returned, I think I started eating to much after my Sister past away. So it's back to the diet after Christmas and see how many stones I can lose this time.

Thank you all for your comments and FAV's on the metal bull, I was contacted by the Emporium owner who said I could have it for £675 (1020 US Dollars), is that a load of bull or not.
Nice piece of history Heather! Walking does it for me!

Shame such an important mile post is falling into neglect. An interesting capture. Well done with the weight loss. I'm sure you will manage it again!

Nicely captured - too bad that it has fallen into disrepair. I'll be with you on the after-the-holidays diet. But, until then, it's a go for all things delicious! Thanks for including the bull price - only 1,020 dollars? I think I'd get several - bahahaha!

I refer to it as continental drift, sounds better that way.
