After the storms of yesterday I decided to get out for some fresh air. I went to visited a stretch of river that I have never been along, but after all the rain it was very wet and slippery, knowing my history I might be on my backside soon covered in mud.
After a short distance I noticed this old bridge and weir on the opposite site and realised that this must be the outlet for a very old mill pond in the trees, don't think it's been opened for many years. Although I know of the mill pond I've not found a way of getting to it yet but I will keep looking.
Thank you for getting the Cotswold cottage onto the PP page with your comments and FAV's, much appreciated.
Reminds me of place I used to walk around when I was a child and I walk around places like this now as well. Nice capture Heather and a Happy New Year to you
What a great find Heather. You'll be able to go back when the weather is better and explore. Be careful in all this mud it's very nasty if you fall in it. There speaks the voice of experience!!
Stay safe & well and Happy New Year to you.
