Thank you so much for your comments on "The Shambles" yesterday, it's a wonderful place and on Fridays, with the open market, it's such an atmosphere place..
I had popped out into my backyard for a second and heard another bird singing away. looking around I spotted it on top of a hedge a couple of gardens away, but against the light I couldn't make out what it was. I rushed back indoors and through to my bedroom to grab my camera but felt sure it would be gone by the time I returned.
Back outside again I fired up the camera and zoomed quite a distance taking about 8 pictures but still wasn't sure what it was. What a lovely surprise when I put the camera card into my PC and corrected the background glare, there singing away was another lovely robin.
They all seem very happy at the moment and perhaps the milder weather has got them looking for a mate, I might have to try that myself although I think it's more likely to drive people away.
I love birds but the robins flock in way too large numbers here in late winters day early spring and my poor car suffers from being under the tree where they congregate! So I prefer other birds!!
