A small town postbox is pleading to the Weight Watchers group for help after putting on so much weight, it has doubled in size and and is looking enormous compared to it's normal sized relatives.
In an interview the postbox said, "I used to be so much slimmer but this all happened over the Christmas period. I don't mind the odd envelope or postcard but all up to Christmas I was eating not just one card at a time but they crammed my mouth with piles of all sort of thing". "It got so bad that I had to slit my mouth in two just to take it all, I'm so afraid that I have become addicted to envelopes, and those tasty stamps, that I may never shrink again".
So there you go, such a sad story that could happen to all of us if we over indulge during the Christmas period. This is Lady Magpie reporting for Silly News in the Stroud Valleys.
Before I read your 'news' I was thinking that postboxes used to be larger, and are larger than we now need them because we don't post so much snailmail.....
