In many hillside villages around our valleys is a spring that supplies fresh water, this is what the villagers used before the days of piped water. There is a sign on the left that says "The water is unsafe for drinking", which someone has removed the "un" which is probably about right.
As I was planning the picture I suddenly noticed this shadow that seemed to have crept up behind me. I thought I heard heavy breathing and a chill went down my spine so I moved sideways. The shadow followed me so I quickly took the picture and switched off the camera.
Looking up again the shadow had disappeared so I turned quickly to confront this person. They had vanished and I wondered if this had all just been a pipe dream, eg. a figure of my imagination. As I walked back to my car I did notice that the sun kept vanishing behind the clouds and then reappearing, just like my stalker by the spring pipes.
Note: The phrase "It's just a pipe dream", meaning you are dreaming about the impossible comes from the days when people used to smoke pipes full of opium which caused hallucinations, hence the phrase it's a pipe dream.
Your stalker looks a bit like a welsh lady with her tall hat! Great story and I bet the water is perfectly safe to drink and free of nasty chlorine which taints our water.
Nice selfie Heather, it reminds me of the photo posted a few days ago by Arthur. http://365project.org/wordpixman/365/2016-01-16
You must be related. Also reminds me of Orson Welles. All you need is a cape.
Super shot.
