Although I haven't seen the film, "The Life of Pi" I am told it is very good. But I want to tell you the story of my "Life of Pie" and the things I had to relearn again.
I found in my fridge some left over corned beef and decided to make myself a lovely corned beef hash. I then found I had to do something that I haven't done for years, and that was to get a real potato and peel it. Yes I said peel a potato, cut it up and boil it to make mash potato. Well I usually have that frozen mash potato in the freezer but had run out.
It was then a long search for the peeler and the mashing gadget had to be scrubbed and cleaned. There is one thing for certain, my "Life of Pie" was very unfortunately very short lived and was very tasty, might peel a potato again sometime if I can find one of those in the cupboard.
Will get round to your wonderful pictures later on as I'm working on my usual live football match.
I'm ... so ... hungry ... Very fortifying, nice shot of this fine hearty meal. I like the framing, as well. Only possible improvement that I can think of here would be a squirt of ketchup.
Well a nice clean plate Heather so worth all the work! Won't be as complicated next time as you know where everything is now! It wouldn't bother me never peeling a potato as I'm not a great potato eater. I do seem to peel lots though!
Delicious! Here we call it shepherd's pie - but I don't recommend mincing up the shepherd!!! You will be happy that Murray is playing in the tennis final tonight (our time!)
hehe, peeling potatoes, love that.
I just have not bothered peeling them, cook them with skins on, then if necessary, peel them once cooked, makes it easier
You should try & watch 'Life of Pi', it is very good, an unusual story & well adapted to film.
