Another photograph from yesterday as I try to rest my wonky knee, If I was a wonky donkey I think I would have been put down by now.
The clouds were looking very ominous as they had been dropping, not only rain but snow flurries, the first of the years. The small hamlet in the foreground is quite old and only reached by a rough track and originally comprised of a large farm and farm workers houses. Today the farm is still busy but the homes are privately owned and offer a lovely peaceful place with great views, I should have been an estate agent. View with the dark surround.
Thank you for all your comments of the view across the lake. Today that mansion is our local Museum in the Park.
So you are a spunky hanky-panky cranky stinky-dinky lanky honky-tonky winky wonky donkey!!! Sorry couldn't resist this one - after all I worked with pre-school children for 40+ years and love books :) As for chapter 2 - well, i left the farm, garden and 10 room house and now rent a 2 bedroom house in town. I missed the bird life on the farm, but have now discovered a new set of birds at the ocean, rivers and lake! I am just grateful to have my health (but definitely no wealth!) and enjoy life, friends and family and am out most days doing something :) I'll add chapter 3 to Harry's photo you commented on yesterday! Have a great day, and rest that knee :)
want to be hiking.
