Nice and Shinny Cruet. by ladymagpie

Nice and Shinny Cruet.

Still stuck indoors and resting the old knee that feels a little better, so lets have a look at what my postman delivered to my home yesterday.

Just a little addition to my collecting and a solid silver Art-Deco cruet set, hallmarked for Birmingham 1938. It was black when it arrived and it's taken me a day to return it to a lovely shinny condition. The three items, mustard pot left, pepper pot right and the salt bowl in the middle. Both the mustard and salt containers have white opaque glass liners.

I was talking to someone the other day about going big yacht sailing again, I had taken part in races when I was station in Scotland. They then reminded me that I would have to find several other people to help crew it. Thought I had solved the problem with this lovely cruet instead. Yes alright that wasn't very good.

Thanks for all your comments and FAV's, this picture looks much better with the dark surround.

Well I guess the postmen really made your day with your Art Deco delivery, very cool pieces, although I had to do some researching first. Nicely captured! Hope your knee is feeling better soon and if you decide to sail in a yacht race, stay safe!
