I think I should have called in here the other day to say a few prays before going into the dentists. I have a total fear of the dentist, even more than snakes and spiders, and that's saying something.
There have been Evangelists around this town since 1740's, although this building dates from 1807 and looks quite magnificent on a bank above the main road. I had walked here from the dentists since there was a geocache opposite and felt quite chirpy, well I didn't have to have any major treatment. Saying that as she buzzed around my teeth to remove any plaque I was jumping up and down in the chair like a "Jack in the Box".
Now I will be honest with you, I didn't need this chapel for my prays, I had actually repeated them in the car as I journey the 5 miles from home. Thank you all for your kind words yesterday and the FAV's, I've decided to accept help from family and friends when I need it.
I agree with you about the dentist. Glad your prayers were answered! I do like these Evangelical churches. The way they sit 4 square in their place, with no nonsense about them.
Lovely church and beautiful capture. Love the textures and the brick/stone colour. I too don't like dentist but I fear those 8 legged creepy crawlers worse, I have a phobia. Anyways you're right, God hears or prayers anywhere and everywhere.
I really struggle to put dentists in the same category as spiders and snakes! But i do like the old church capture - proving of course that there are no spiders or snakes lurking about :)
Lovely building. Glad you survived the dentist. David had root canal done on a tooth recently and also a crown fitted. Painful both on the tooth and the pocket.
