Well not all hoodies spend the morning in bed and go out causing problem in the afternoon and evenings, some will spend a cold morning slumped in a chair, and in the words of a famous song "Gone Fishing". Sing along:
I have a problem about pond or river fishing, why would you spend time watching a long stick dangling over water with a piece of string on the end. Freezing cold and nothing to do. Surely it would be easier to dangle your hand over a freezer compartment in the local supermarket and catch all types of fish. Cod, Haddock, Salmon and many more, much easier and eatable. View with the dark surround.
I'm posting early today as my live football match doesn't start until 5.30 pm, so I can look at all your wonderful pictures before starting my coverage, Thanks for all your comments and FAV's.
Great shot and fun commentary. People in my town are crazy about fishing... not me. Unless I catch a fish every three minutes I'm bored out of my mind!
I agree with all of the above. There are a lot of men locally who fish from the canal side and spoil a good walk for the rest of us as we trip over rods, lines and huge boxes on wheels.
I feel the same as you Heather, can't see any pleasure in fishing but if you worked in a noisy factory during the week it might feel different....peace & quiet & each to his own!
"Gone Fishing" - can't remember who sang it. Great capture, fav. Good luck to FGR and their acting/new manager. Please wish Brighton luck (Monday) as well as they try to get into the Premier League :)
Fishing, like photography, is kind of a metaphor for a good life: Try your best, hope for the best, have days when you catch something and days when you don't, but always, always be thankful for the sound of the water and the sun in the sky and the chance to cast another reel.
super cool capture
