What more can I say, got the old slow cooker out yesterday and did a bit of cordon bleu cooking. I may be Cook by name but it doesn't mean I'm a cook by nature, especially living on your own where it's easier to pop a plastic tray in the oven or microwave.
I was once called a "Ping Cook", this being the noise from the microwave, but that's not the case. I use a halogen oven to cook most things so to get the slow cooker out was a special occasion. In the morning I seized off some turkey breast and added carrots, potatoes, herbs and onion salt, thickening the gravy before serving. Bobs your uncle a nice stew in the evening and enough for another day.
I liked the picture for the rich colours and to prove to some of my friends and family that I do eat SOME vegitables, well carrots and I class potatoes as veg as well. Thanks for all your comments on my vane attempt of humour yesterday. View with the dark surround for 50 carrot view.
Always eat you vegies first, then the main course, work better that way.
Very inviting stew.
