Caught between a Rock and a Hard Place

I was going to use this picture and the phrase the other day, but a fellow 365project friend went and used the phrase before me, didn't they @philcameron59. So I've saved it for today and will give you my story.

I was out geocaching right in the middle of a new housing estate, not my favourite places as there seems to be eyes watching you from everywhere and curtains twitching. There was a little triangular green with a benches on each side, the cache was under one of these benches. In the center were these to rock sign posts with absolutely no possibility of me getting between them.

It reminded me of the phrase, "Caught between a Rock and a Hard Place". It has the meaning that you are in a very difficult position and facing a hard decision. Very similar to the phrase of "Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea". Oh and I didn't find the geocache as there were to many people about watching this strange old women in a silly hat.

Thank you all so much for your comments and FAV's yesterday, much appreciated.

Interesting story - strange signposts. I wondered what they were when I first saw the photo. You'll have to sneak back after dark to retrieve your geocache (-and probably get arrested for suspicious behaviour!)

Great story and shot. You will have to go back in the dead of night wearing your balaclava to get the geocache.
